Ron joined Actis as Chief Operating Officer in August 2009; he is based in London and has overall responsibility for finance, tax, technology, business support, fund administration and fund accounting.
Before joining Actis, Ron was a Managing Director with Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity, based in Europe, and was responsible for overseeing multi-jurisdictional transaction operations and support. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Ron spent eleven years as Partner and Finance Director in mid-market European private equity firms.
Between 1986 and 1996 Ron worked for St James’s Place Capital Plc. (formerly J. Rothschild Holdings plc) where he was the Chief Financial Officer.
Ron has a BA in Accounting from Nottingham University, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
