Asanka leads our investment activities for Actis’ Asia climate transition strategy based out of Singapore. Prior to this he was Head of Private Equity for South and Southeast Asia at Actis.
Asanka has over 25 years of experience in private equity and infrastructure and joined Actis as an Associate in 2000, becoming a Partner in 2014. He has worked across Actis’ investment strategies and geographies including significant stints in London, Africa, India and Singapore, with investment experience across infrastructure, private equity and real estate. He has led or been involved in investments across India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Eastern and Southern Africa.
He holds an MBA from Bayes Business School, City, University of London, and is a CFA charter holder.
