TitleDirector: Value Creation
“I believe that doing the right thing is the best way to deliver outstanding financial performance and lasting social impact over a sustained period of time.”
For Fash, there’s no contradiction between responsible investment and exceptional financial returns. It’s a principle he shares with everyone who works at Actis and a creed that shapes all our investment decisions.
Fash joined Actis in 2010 from Bain & Company to work exclusively in growth economies, inspired by their potential and his wish to contribute to their healthy development.
He studied Chemical Engineering at Princeton University and started his career with Ashanti Goldfields in Ghana as a Research Metallurgist, before becoming a Research Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cape Town. In 1999 he joined Bain & Company where he spent more than a decade, working first in South Africa and then in the UK, managing the firm’s London private equity practice.
Having worked in both Europe and growth markets, Fash knew which he found more rewarding and at Actis, he now works day-in day-out with people who share his passion and commitment to making a positive impact.
