Tasty Taiwanese food

The waitresses’ signature ‘pixie’ haircut might be the first thing you notice when you walk through the door, but what you’ll remember about Bellagio is the tasty Taiwanese food and the excellent standard of customer service.

Founded in 2001 by the Lin Family, Bellagio is a casual dining restaurant chain with 66 stores nationally, serving food to hungry diners in major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuhan. In a consumer survey commissioned by Actis, Bellagio stood out against its peers in terms of both brand awareness and customer advocacy.

Actis invested for a significant majority stake in Bellagio in September 2012, ready to take Bellagio to its next stage of growth, just as the Actis China team did with hotpot chain, XiabuXiabu.

The founding family remain as shareholders in Bellagio and Actis is backing former Yum China COO and industry veteran, Joseph Han, as the company’s new Chairman. Actis has also professionalised the management team with a new CEO and a number of key hires in operations, finance and product development.
