Actis wins award for best emerging markets deal of the year

Actis has won the award for Emerging Markets Deal of the Year in the annual Acquisitions Monthly M & A awards 2004. The award was for a groundbreaking investment in 2003 that effected the first successful private equity backed privatisation in India, the US$60m privatisation of Punjab Tractors Ltd.

The award recognises Actis’s innovative, ‘can do’ approach that leverages deep local knowledge and a broad network of international resources.
