Actis wins Impact Project of the Year – Energy at the Environmental Finance IMPACT Investment Awards 2025
Actis has won the Impact Project of the Year – Energy category at the Environmental Finance IMPACT Investment Awards 2025 for its work with energy portfolio company in Bangladesh, Bridgin Power.
The award win recognises the strength of Actis and Bridgin Power’s sustainability efforts, including:
- Piloting a mangrove restoration project to support natural coastal resilience against flooding and erosion while sequestering carbon and supporting biodiversity
- A microcredit scheme offering interest-free loans, boosting average household income of recipients and helping to enable household investments in vital goods
- A scholarship programme helping to keep 50 girls in education
- 83% of project procurement being sourced locally
