FRI 8 DEC: Actis and Yellow Door Energy’s Project Daw

Two of today’s themes at COP28 are Education and Skills. Actis and its portfolio companies put a significant amount of work into initiatives supporting education and skills training in the communities we operate in because we view this as being an integral part of delivering a Just Transition.

Given today’s theme, we wanted to put the spotlight on Project Daw, led by Actis’ UAE-based renewables business Yellow Door Energy. Yellow Door Energy is at the forefront of the energy transition in the Middle East and Africa but in addition to advancing environmental performance in the region, it is also delivering social impact through Project Daw, which helps tackle youth unemployment, sustainable energy access and healthcare access in Jordan by providing solar industry skills training to underprivileged youths.
