Marcelo Guerra Filho
Marcelo joined the Energy team in mid-2016 as a summer associate based in London, moving to Brazil in a full-time position in 2017. Since then, Marcelo has been focused on Actis’ Brazilian renewable platforms, including Atlantic and Echoenergia where he has been an excellent support from the origination of seed assets (Projects Theta and Blue), for Echoenergia to the ongoing portfolio management activity, and Actis Energy 3’s Brazilina platform exit. He also contributed significantly for Echoenergia’s co-investment process that raised US$270m from AE4 LPs. Before joining Actis, Marcelo has worked at Votorantim and Santander banks at Project Finance Department with great exposure to transactions in the power sector. Marcelo holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Ibmec University and a MBA from London Business School.
