Alberto is a Partner in the Actis Energy Infrastructure team covering Latin America, based in the firm’s Austin office.
Alberto joined Actis in 2014 and has played a key role in expanding the firm’s footprint in the Americas across four fund vintages. His investment experience includes Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy, Energuate, Zuma Energia, Atlas Renewable Energy, Saavi Energia and Valia Energia. Alberto is currently a board member of energy platform Valia Energia and NextStream, a data centre platform in Latin America.
Prior to working at Actis, he was an Associate Director with Temasek’s Latin America Investment Group. Alberto started his career in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division.
Alberto holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BSc. in Economics from CIDE in Mexico City, and also pursued undergraduate studies at Sciences-Po in Paris and the London School of Economics.
