Daniel is part of the Investor Development Group for the Americas, in charge of all aspects of the relationship with Latin American clients as well as with American clients in the Southern states. His responsibilities include the creation and administration of international investment vehicles.

Prior to joining Actis, Daniel worked at Citi for thirteen years in various capacities. These included Head of Managed Investments and Head of Alternative Investments for Latin America.

Before joining Citi, Daniel started the equity derivatives business for Bancomer (now BBVA Mexico) and supervised all derivatives-related transactions of a Mexican conglomerate, Pulsar. It was then that he acted as syndicate manager in the Nasdaq IPO of an agro biotech company and participated in the sale of Mexico’s largest tobacco company.

Daniel started his banking career as a financial analyst with Bancomer and worked on the electrical power plant of Samalayuca II with General Electric as partner.

Daniel holds a BSc in Applied Mathematics from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business of New York University.
