Marina joined the Actis Sustainability team in 2019, bringing over 10 years of experience consulting on Social and Environmental performance in developing markets.
She was attracted to the fact that responsible investment is part of Actis’ DNA and the belief shared across the firm that ESG issues present not just risk mitigation but also value enhancing opportunities.
Growing up in a bilingual French family Marina was grateful for the exposure it gave her to integrate with different cultures, particularly in West Africa. She was attracted to the huge scope that exists for private capital investment to make significant impact when deployed meaningfully
Before joining Actis, Marina was a senior sustainability consultant at ERM and prior to this AECOM, undertaking ESG due diligence on transactions across a variety of sectors, and assessing the impacts of large-scale infrastructure, energy and extractive projects, often including significant land acquisition.
Marina’s focus has been working in Sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring compliance with international best practice and advising public and private sector clients in securing Sustainable Finance.
Marina holds an MSc in Geography from Oxford University and is a Chartered Environmentalist through IEMA.Contact Us
