Max has been with the Actis Long Life Infrastructure team since it was originally established in 2017, after focusing on infrastructure and energy investments for more than a decade. Throughout his career, Max has worked on 17 transactions that closed with an aggregate value of over US$11 billion.

Since joining Actis, Max has been a member of the deal team of four ALLIF investments across the Middle East & Africa, Latin America and Asia. In 2020, Max saw an opportunity to focus on the Middle East & Africa and has since been leading origination and execution in the region on behalf of ALLIF. Max also led the development of Actis’ investment thesis in the District Energy sector, and he originated and led the firm’s investment in Emicool, one of Actis’ largest investments to date. In addition, Max has supported the development of internal Actis initiatives, such as Actis Acts and the Associate Program.

Prior to joining Actis, Max spent five years at EQT Infrastructure working closely with Glen Matsumoto. Before EQT, he focused on private equity investments at Quantum Energy Partners. In these roles, Max was responsible for sourcing new investments, leading due diligence, structuring and financing transactions, monitoring portfolio companies, evaluating and recruiting management and board candidates and ultimately exiting investments.

Max holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with emphases in Finance and International Business from the University of Arizona, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
