CNA is one of the largest and most traditional language schools chain in Brazil, with over 40 years of history teaching English and Spanish. Today, the Company has more than 400 thousand students per year, learning languages in one of its 605 units located across the country. CNA has a strong brand and student satisfaction level, and a customer base which includes children, teenagers, and in particular young adults keen to improve their career prospects by learning English.

Actis invested in the Company in September 2012, with the plan to expand the business and benefit from the growing demand by Brazilians to learn English, in a market with very low penetration of foreign language proficiency. Actis has built up a strong expertise in the educational sector internationally, including in Brazil with its investment in Cruzeiro do Sul.
