Torbjorn Caesar coverage in Reuters: Actis sees growing investor interest in sustainable infrastructure in emerging regions
Torbjorn Caesar, Chairman and Senior Partner at Actis, spoke with Reuters about global shift of capital toward sustainable infrastructure in high-growth regions like Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
In these markets – where populations are rising and demand for electricity is surging – Actis is investing in the assets that matter: renewables, transmission, storage and data infrastructure. Click here to read the full article or read on below for a snippet of Torbjorn’s comments.
Torbjorn Caesar, Chairman and Senior Partner at Actis, commented:
“The need for electricity is massive. If you’re looking at the markets we are in, what we refer to as ‘most of the world’ across Latin America, Middle East, Eastern Europe or Asia, it’s not so much about energy transition, of course that is important, but it’s also energy addition, because the electricity demand is growing over time. It is growing with economic activity, growth with the demographics, in terms of the population growth, there’s a massive need for new electricity.”
