Rachael joined Actis in January 2020, to develop Actis’ Associate Programme and implement a strategy for growth and success year on year.  Class sizes have tripled since 2019 and our I&D centred recruitment strategy has seen positive results on diverse representation in a short timeframe.

A key part of Rachael’s role is to engage with global stakeholders at all levels and nurture the leaders of tomorrow, working alongside a 35 strong team of volunteer investment professionals who feed into the Associate Programme’s development, ensuring it is optimised for the business’ needs.

Rachael is a good example of the diverse range of talent at Actis, having come from an Arts background, where she trained as a professional actor (Royal Central School of Speech and Drama) and subsequently worked in the theatre industry for 10 years. While doing so, she gained freelance consultant experience across Executive Search (FreshMinds Talent) and Research & Insight in projects spanning Healthcare, Education, Financial Services and Telecommunications sectors (Decidedly), and Operational Roles across serviced office management, event and project management.

Having started at Actis in a 3-month freelance role in January 2020, Rachael has become a firm believer in the Actis story, its people and its values and over two years later is still here and excited for the future.
