Supporting the Rescue and Relief Effort for Cyclone Idai
In March, Cyclone Idai swept through Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe killing more than 740 people and leaving almost 3 million people in need of humanitarian assistance.
Given the significant humanitarian crisis affecting a region Actis continues to invest in, Actis Acts donated £50,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Cyclone Idai Appeal.
Actis Acts’ donation supported the rescue and relief effort, delivering clean water, emergency shelter materials and blankets, food such as pulses and maize flour, and urgent health assistance.
