Javier joined Actis as an Associate in 2017 in Mexico City and since 2023 has been based in Austin, where he is responsible for covering the firm’s energy investments in Latin America.
He has worked on Actis’ investments in Atlas Renewable Energy, Saavi Energia and Catalyze.
Prior to joining Actis, Javier was a Management Consultant with McKinsey’s Global Energy & Materials and Strategy practices, where he focused on energy and infrastructure in Latin America.
Javier holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from CIDE in Mexico City.
