Rahul Agrawal

Rahul is the Head of Energy business for SE Asia and is based in the Singapore office. He joined Actis as an Associate in 2012 and has been involved in several of Actis’ energy infrastructure investments in Asia and across the entire lifecycle from deal origination to exit.

Initially during his stint in India, he was involved in Ostro Energy and Sprng Energy. Actis invested more than US$750 million across these two platforms to establish more than 3GW+ of operating wind and solar capacity.

He has led the origination and execution activities for SE Asia energy sector for Actis since 2016, achieving the formation of two power platforms in the region, Levanta Renewables and Bridgin Power. He currently serves as a board member on these platforms and has led several individual buy and build deals in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Bangladesh.

Prior to joining Actis, Rahul worked with ICICI Venture as an Associate Vice President in their infrastructure private equity team and previously with a mezzanine fund of IL&FS.

Rahul holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, post graduate degree in management and operations from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA from INSEAD in France.
