Liam joined Actis in 2015. Liam provides expertise on a wide range of technical issues, principally associated with the construction of renewables projects, energy yield estimates and contract negotiations. Liam serves as Technical Steering Committee Chair for Nozomi Energy and Levanta Renewables and has an active role supporting Yellow Door Energy. He has served on several technical steering committees of realised investments, including Aela EnergĂa, Lekela Power, Sprng Energy and BTE Renewables. Liam has also previously served on the Board of Pelicano.
Prior to joining Actis, Liam spent six years working in Chile, for Sinclair Knight Merz, an engineering consultancy firm (2008-2011), and subsequently for Origin Energy (2011-2015), a large international utility business. In both project management roles, he was responsible for providing technical and commercial advice. Prior to his time in Chile, Liam worked in New Zealand in both engineering and project development roles for both domestic and emerging markets projects for Sinclair Knight Merz. Through these roles, he gained significant development and operational experience with wind, solar, gas, hydro and geothermal technologies.
Liam holds a BE (Hons) majoring in Mechanical Engineering from Auckland University.
