Living in China over the last 20 years, Paul has witnessed the change in lifestyle and spending patterns of Chinese consumers. “As people dine out more often and seek convenient, casual environments, Actis has captured this growing opportunity to invest in the casual dining industry,” he says. Being part of this shift – and able to make a difference in the businesses he works with – motivates Paul.

Actis offers Paul the chance to pair his entrepreneurial spirit with his strong sector and local insights. He has developed this expertise over ten years working with consumer facing businesses in food, healthcare, consumable goods and mobile services industries. At Actis, Paul works with portfolio companies in these sectors.

Prior to joining Actis, Paul led Asurion’s Chinese business providing mobile device services to Chinese customers. Before that, he worked in the consumer healthcare industry with Pfizer (ex-Wyeth); Johnson and Johnson and Sanofi, building on ten years’ experience in the fast moving consumable goods industry with Unilever and Gillette in Asia Pacific, Australia and China.

Paul has an MBA from Warwick Business School and a BA degree in Management Science at University at Kent.
