Head: Investor Development Group, Asia

“I love telling the story of what makes Actis so unique: a great cultural diversity and a depth of experience. The collective network and knowledge that enables Actis to source and evaluate investments is a true differentiator that is hard for others to replicate.”

Born and raised in Shanghai, Pamela was drawn to working in growth markets at an early age. Returning to China from the US in early 2000, she was blown away by the pace of growth and buzzing energy in Shanghai. Only in growth markets can one experience economic, political and social transformations at such a rapid pace. To Pamela, parts of Africa today are reminiscent of China 10-20 years ago, she sees this as a fascinating journey to be part of.

Pamela is Head of the Investor Development Group in Asia, responsible for Actis’ fundraising and investor relations activities in the region. As a fundraiser, the most powerful tool is an interesting story coupled with a proven track record. “I love telling the story of what makes Actis so unique: a great cultural diversity and a depth of experience. The collective network and knowledge that enables Actis to source and evaluate investments is a true differentiator that is hard for others to replicate.”

In addition to over ten years’ private equity experience, Pamela held various senior roles focused on business development, mergers and acquisitions, debt structuring and sales at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital.
